This is the to base template for the various subsections of my site. In the future, I might make it different colors for different sections, but that will have to wait until after I got a finished version online.

The filler content is my "effectors of hypoxia" story, since it is of a decent length to test out how the page works with a lot of text.

In case you are wondering what I mean by "section template", the gray part of this will be different on every page and it will be outputted via PHP. This is how the page is going to look, minus the dynamic content which will be different on each page.

Any feedback would be appreciated so that I can perfect this.

Looks great! I really don't have anything to add to this, it looks awesome. My only critiques (and these are really minor) are that it looks really different from the main page (which isn't necessarily a good or bad thing, it depends on implementation), and the random quote seems too distracting. Try making it smaller (it's the same size as the rest of the text right now), and on the right side of the page instead of the center, maybe even italicize it or something. But that's not a big deal, and the layout is very clean and easy to read. Awesome job! :-D

Its actually a marquee...(the random quote thing)... flows from right to left. I wanna have cute sayings about cats and stuff...

Yes, this is way differrent than the title page, because the title page has way more complex graphics (like the cover a book) and this is simple so you focus on the content.

A marquee? Oh, please, for the love of all that is good on the internet, don't use a marquee! They've never been written into a W3C standard for a reason, they were tacky when they were first released, and they still are.

If it must be dynamic, use a fader or something, like the news box on the FT forum. I wouldn't recommend that for the content pages, though, because anything that changes, moves, fades, or is animated in any way seriously distracts from the site's main content, which seems to defeat the purpose of having a different appearance to the content pages. Something like that would be better suited for your front page.

I am tempted to do it just to mess with a wolfie...

The idea is that on every content page you get another cute quote about cats or from a critter. I guess I can just have it dynamically load a quote into position and then just leave it there, but the problem is that some quotes are longer than others, thats why I wanted to do a marquee.
