Epic Endzeit Poem Pt 1

Down and to the ground the old statues fall
Hammers are taken to walls
Pillars of state gone
without much dance and song

Acrid skies scar the lungs.
Even greater the tyranny,
of a hostile sun.
The fires can be seen at this distance,
Markings of the enemy's presence ,
10 leagues, declares the leader;
"We shall close the gap!"

Onward the column of convicts press.
The doomed know no difference between sex,
A girl's knife thrust is as good as the rest.

Their ranks swell with the last of the children,
Who were ripened by witnessing the boiling of thier peers.
A lad of ten knows not much more than to kill,
Spelling doesn't score points in this damned drill.

Here walks a sixteen year old girl,
Carrying a baby on her back,
In a carriage made of sticks and rope.
A mother of six not by birth,
but by the ownership of a caring heart.

Her left hand grasps the wrist of a youth,
Who in another age,
Would of been learning addition,
But is now famous for his three acts of cardinal perdition.

They pass charred ruins of ages vanquished.
A dim glimmer in memories long past,
one of the girls remarks:
That was my aunt's house, but she didn't last.

As usual some youth are disptached to scavenge,
They return with a femur showing signs of much ravage.
Aunt Clara's bones will be used tonight,
A shortage of clubs threatens to topple their fight.

The banner of dusk begins to fall,
"Increase the pace! 5 leagues until we slaughter them all!"
The fires begin to smolder, white smoke chokes the air.
No doubt an act of trickery!
Their magic will have no effect on how bloody they will be!
