As you contemplate a self-inflicted demise
you fall apart into a web of your own lies
Unable to see a solution in your defeat
From this life of failure you want release

But light shines in the form of an angelic embrace
Heaven does not desire your weary face
As the fingers of The Divine envelope you tighter
hope rises above the mist of painful horror.

Sorry, not this time will you acquiesce
You are drowning in this state due to the same holy caress
Even if you owe to their healing hands your current breath
not in mysticism will you find an answer against death

As much as you yearn for spiritual guidance
you can't trust anything you cannot silence
A solitary war is the only way to play
You would rather die than be lighted by it's false day

But light shines in the form of an angelic embrace
Heaven does not desire your weary face
As the fingers of The Divine envelope you tighter
hope rises above the mist of painful horror.

But this time you won't give in.
Make what you will of this. I rarely ever reveal some of the struggles (especially spirtual ones) I go through. Consider yourself lucky. Yes, the use of "their" on line ten was fully intentional and is correct.

That was rather beautiful. Sad, yet beautiful. And that last line is so powerful! But, really, this kind of thing is a struggle anyone with religious influence in their life goes through. I can kinda relate, ya know? Anyway, good job!
